Happy Birthday The Runner Within!

Well folks, The Runner Within has been live for a whole year now! It’s crazy how much my blog has grown this last year. I originally created this blog to document my journey in training and accumulating several milestones in running various distances leading up to my first half marathon. This blog also served as a resources for my close friends and family to keep up to date with my running…but it has become so much more than that!

Fast forward 12 months later and my blog has 31 published posts, 45 comments, 22 followers and 1,190 views….WOW! WordPress even put together a personalized report for The Runner Within detailing how successful this blog was for 2014. I won’t share all of the details with you, just a couple snapshots. 🙂

The “Let’s Talk Training” series was a big hit and really got me more involved with the running community, increasing my interaction with other bloggers. I am so thankful I was able to team up with an awesome group of ladies who welcomed me with open arms to the circle.

Being actively involved with the link ups and engaging myself in various forms of social media, I have been able to grow my fan base. If you haven’t already, be sure to “Like” The Runner Within on Facebook and “follow” on Twitter and Instagram. I would love to give an extra special shout out to Montana over at Pretty Lil’ Mudder and Melanie over at Runner Girl in a Rocking World as their blogs appeared in the Top 5 referral sites.

A huge thank you to all of my followers. I wouldn’t have come this far in my blog without you. I am so excited to see what 2015 has in store for me and I hope you will continue to follow me on my journey of PYBCYE (push your boundaries, challenge your expectations) for 2015.

  1. yay! So proud of you! And I’m glad you joined girls gone sporty and started networking with us! It really changes your stats when you get more involved in the blogging world. How did you get this stat report from WordPress? Did they generate it all on their own for you? I think it’s cool and I want to do it!
