Weekly Training Log: 7/27-8/2

Well, we are on day…actually I’ve lost count on what day this is of this continuous rainfall taking over west Florida. I saw this picture floating around on my Facebook feed this morning and had to share with you all: 

As hot and humid as it is, I am actually looking forward to the day when I can a) run outside and not have to avoid puddles and b) actually have some sunshine to accompany me. I seriously think I need to go buy some vitamin D pills to take to make up for the lack of vitamin D I am not getting.

Any who, I still managed to get whatever workouts done inside that I could and in fact was able to “run/walk” outside twice! All my fellow Floridians can agree that that is a huge accomplishment.

Monday: 3 mile run on the treadmill

Tuesday: Lower body (glutes, quads, and calfs) and core strengthening

Wednesday: Upper body (shoulders, triceps, biceps) strength training

Thursday: Rest day

Friday: Floam Goam 5K – walked it with my best friend Court. Even if I wanted to run it, the course was still too wet from the all day rain fall mixed with the slippery soapy foam.


Saturday: 3 mile run (OUTSIDE) with Barbara followed up with 100 squats for day 1 of a 30 day squat challenge hosted by Guna, Inc.


 Sunday: 100 squats for day 2 of 30 day squat challenge.
