My Top Running Tunes

As taper week comes to an end and I begin to prep for Iron Girl Clearwater, I am also in the works to download some new tunes for my two and a half hour venture. I thought I would take a few minutes to review some of my “go-to” jams that are a must for my playlist.

1. Run the World (Girls) by Beyonce. 127 BPM

Nothing more empowering than some tunes by Queen B herself.

2. The Phoenix by Fall Out Boy. 138 BPM

Truthfully, I love anything by Fall Out Boy. This song has a really good beat that builds momentum with the chorus.

3. I just Wanna Run by The Downtown Fiction. 128 BPM

Just as the title states, I just want to run.

4. Uptown Funk by Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars. 115 BPM

It’s a catchy song and its tempo is slower than most contemporary pop songs with regard to beats per minute.

5. Outside by Calvin Harris featuring Ellie Goulding 128 BPM

I just love this collaboration with Harris and Goulding. Again, this song starts off with a soft melody that sets the stage for a dramatic beat.

What type of music or artist get’s you in your running zone?

Link up with Eat Pray Run DC, Mar on the Run, and You Signed up for What?! and several other bloggers for Friday Five! Link up your post about the week’s theme so your post will be found in the linkup archives.
